From refugee to American prosperity: How education made the difference for one man and continues to provide hope to Cambodian children today. This special luncheon will celebrate Caring for Cambodia Board of Directors member Hong Choing while highlighting his journey from a refugee camp in Cambodia to success in the United States and the importance of education and the support of strangers in achieving his dreams.
The luncheon at Stonebrae Country Club will feature a 3-course meal as well as a silent auction, a beautiful traditional Khmer Apsara dance performance, and other surprises for those in attendance. Come learn more about the amazing work being done at Caring for Cambodia's 21 schools to bring hope and education to a generation of Cambodian children. Special updates on the Covid-19 challenges CFC has faced and overcome as well as what we are doing today to keep kids learning, even as schools in the country remain closed.
Country club attire is required. Registration and cocktail hour will begin at noon with the luncheon program kicking off at 1 p.m. Cash Bar.

Jamie is the founder and CEO of Caring for Cambodia (CFC), a non-profit, non-governmental charitable organization that has dramatically changed the lives of tens of thousands of Cambodian children. CFC began in 2003 with one school and today encompasses 21 schools from Pre-K to 12th grade, educating 7,000 students annually.
